DMV VoD service expanded by Junction TV across multiple OTT devices

The Databazaar Media Ventures channel was launched with the aid of Junction TV. Since the launch of the DMV channel in North America, Junction TV is now expanding the channel to reach multiple devices, which include Boxee, Samsung TV, Google TV, Android and iOS based devices. This is becoming the true TV-Everywhere initiative where users can buy a single subscription and access content from any device convenient to them.

In order to drive this expansion, Junction TV has built a multi-device framework integrated with the OTT platform. The platform allows publishing the content across any device. Furthermore, the platform now provides a multi-device Entitlement Management System (EMS) which enables access control and policies applied seamlessly across any device.

For DMV, Junction TV has also delivered a multi-device analytics system that tracks the activity and usage for each device and then provides a detailed report for content consumption and trends across devices. The analytics system leverages Big Data Hadoop infrastructure to address the unique requirements of volume/velocity and variety of Big Data.
